HIGHLIGHTED MATCH-UPS

-BRADLEY AT BUTLER. Butler is an impressive 9-1 on the year and just got another big win against Florida State, but they could be in for a battle tonight. It’s a huge game for a Bradley team that appears to be pretty good, but doesn’t have a big time win yet. Winning on the road against Butler would be a huge boost to the quality of their resume. Bradley has quite a bit of size and Butler loves to shoot from the outside, but they also love to run backdoor cuts, so the match-up should be an interesting one.

-MEMPHIS AT CINCINNATI. Cincinnati played tough defense in their last game against Xavier and appears to be getting better, but they don’t stand much of a chance against a Memphis team that is among the best in the nation. It would be a big time upset if they pulled it off. A win for Memphis keeps them undefeated and very much in the picture to get a #1 seed.

-NEW MEXICO STATE AT NEW MEXICO. These rivals meet twice every year despite the fact that they aren’t in the same conference. New Mexico State won the first one, but it is really the only time this year that their team has looked any good. New Mexico should win this one tonight, and improve to 10-2.

-OLD DOMINION AT RICHMOND. Old Dominion has gone 6-4 against a very tough schedule and picked up a notable win against Virginia Tech over the weekend. Richmond has lost three of their last four and doesn’t appear to have much of a chance, but they like to slow it down and sometimes their style of play will keep them in games.

-BAYLOR AT SOUTH CAROLINA. Baylor has had a tremendous season, but this is a tough road test for them. They did win the Paradise Jam, but that was on a neutral floor, and for a team that has struggled big time on the road over the past few years this is game could be an indicator of how good the Bears really are. South Carolina is hardly top notch, but winning the game on the road would still be a big deal for Baylor.

-ARIZONA AT UNLV. Both teams are 6-2 and have played some pretty good basketball this year. UNLV is very young, but they appear to be getting better and better as the season goes on and could give Arizona a fight tonight. A win for UNLV would be huge for their tournament resume, and give them a ton of momentum. It would be a pretty decent road win for Arizona as well. Expect a very fast paced game as both teams like to use their athleticism. It should be entertaining.

-SOUTH FLORIDA AT WAKE FOREST. South Florida has won seven straight, including a win over Florida State in that stretch. This is yet another tough test, but it’s a game that they appear to be good enough to win. Wake is 6-3 and hasn’t lost at home yet, but they also really haven’t beaten anyone that’s playing as well as South Florida is right now.

LAS VEGAS CLASSIC

-Texas Pan American @ Alabama
-Texas Southern @ Iowa State
-Bethune Cookman @ Missouri State
-Wofford @ Purdue

The home teams shouldn’t have any trouble winning these games. We could see some interesting match-ups in the second stage of this event later on, but not tonight.

BUY GAMES

-NORTH CAROLINA A&T AT AKRON. NC A&T will likely be one of the better teams in the MEAC once conference play begins, but right now they’re just 1-5 on the year against div1 teams. Akron can improve to 9-2 with a win in this one, which is a pretty good start.

-NORTHWESTERN STATE VS ARKANSAS. Arkansas can improve to 9-2 with a won. Northwestern State has really struggled this year and doesn’t look like they stand much of a chance.

-MERCER AT AUBURN. This is just Auburn’s second home game. They can get to 6-2 with a win.

-UC SANTA BARBARA AT BALL STATE (Reverse Buy Game). Ball State is still looking for their first win and it isn’t likely to come tonight. UCSB can improve to 10-1.

-AMERICAN AT DAYTON. Dayton is having a tremendous year and can get to 10-1 with a win tonight.

-SAN JOSE STATE AT MICHIGAN STATE. The Spartans (meaning Michigan State, they’re both the Spartans) should win this one in a blowout.

-NICHOLLS STATE AT NORTH CAROLINA. UNC will probably win in a blowout and remain unbeaten on the season.

-SACRED HEART AT PROVIDENCE. Providence shouldn’t have too much trouble winning this game handily and improving to 7-3.

-WEST VIRGINIA AT RADFORD (Reverse Buy Game). It’s very unusual to see a team like West Virginia go on the road and face a team like Radford. WVU should roll despite the fact that they’re the road team.

-SANTA CLARA AT STANFORD. Santa Clara is off to a modest 5-3 start, but they probably won’t be much of a match for a very good Stanford team who has lost just one game this year.

-UNC ASHEVILLE AT TENNESSEE. UNC Asheville is 8-2 and could end up making a lot of noise in the Big South, but three of their wins were against div2 teams and they haven’t beaten anyone quite like Tennessee. The Vols are tough to beat at home and aren’t likely to lose tonight.

-DETROIT AT TEXAS A&M. TAMU will likely win easily and improve to 9-1 on the year.

-HAMPTON AT VIRGINIA. Hampton has looked very good this year and hands down looks to be the best in the MEAC right now. They aren’t quite at the same level as Virginia, though, and aren’t likely to pull the upset.
